竹田陽香　Haruka Takeda

I started weekly lessons with Haruka about two years ago and I couldn’t be happier. Haruka makes learning Japanese fun (often using interesting new articles, TED videos, anime, etc. as a teaching medium), she explains clearly and thoroughly, she can take a difficult grammatical concept and explain it in a way that’s easy to understand and is an overall great teacher who clearly has a passion for teaching and wants her students to succeed. Most importantly, she has a calming demeanor and makes you feel at ease while speaking Japanese. I recommend Haruka for Japanese learners of all abilities.

I first got to know Haruka-san through her podcast and I’m so glad I started classes with her! Classes are always so fun and entertaining, Harukan-san has a lot of patience with me! ;D I started to learn Japanese on my own, but wanted to take my language skills to the next level. Thanks to her in-depth explanations, I really feel like I understand some confusing grammar points much better now. My experience with Haruka has been awesome. Each lesson is engaging and fun, and as a whole they have been extremely beneficial to my understanding of Japanese. I have been learning on my own for about a year, and she was able to quickly gauge my ability and adapt lessons accordingly. Each lesson is adapted to my interests as well, which makes dialogue feel relevant and exciting. She is also very kind and awesome at English as well. I would highly recommend this tutor.

Haruka is a very good tutor. She creates the lesson based on your level. The lessons are like personal conversations, which makes it easy to understand and are still challenging. She is patient and takes time to answer my questions thoughtfully. I enjoy each one and come away with learning more and knowing what I need to work on for the next week.(America)

I began studying Japanese with Haruka in Japan in a class situation in February 2020, and I have been continuing studying with Haruka online since I returned to Australia. Haruka is an excellent teacher and has really been an enormous benefit to my understanding of Japanese. When I return to Japan I will enroll into a language school, but I will always continue to work with Takeda on line during my full-time to studies. You will find your classes with Haruka to be very thorough, motivating and fun!
